Stress is the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressure or other types of demands placed on them.

  • Stress develops when pressure exceeds the humans ability to manage.
  • Stress is the physical, emotional, cognitive and behavioral effect to perceived demands that a person feels they cannot cope with.
  • Stress happens in both personal and work life.

What is Stress Management?

Stress Management is the containment, monitoring and evaluation of the symptoms of stress. Stress Management enables the client to reduce or combat the symptoms of stress. Stress Management also increases resources, develops strategies to reach objectives and goals of a stress free lifestyle.


A stress management consultant will explore with the client the areas of their lives that are causing them to feel stressed such as career, home-life, eating habits, alcohol intake and exercise etc. These areas of concern will be identified and once addressed a plan of action and treatment will be designed to eliminate the negatives and to replace with positive feelings, actions, perceptions and behavior.
